Welcome to The Handsomest Man Website!

On April 14, 1865, a night at the theatre changed the course of history.

The Handsomest Man in America is a new rock musical that tells the tale of actor John Wilkes Booth and his shocking assassination of President Abraham Lincoln at the end of the American Civil War.

What is the price of staying true to your beliefs? When is your integrity worth innocent lives? What does it mean to live free? These are the questions posed by this electrified retelling of one of America's greatest dramas.

From its humble beginnings as a high school graduating project, the 13-song concept recording that was completed in April 2008 is now the basis for a full stage production premiering at Reading, PA's Genesius Theatre on August 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2009.

So look around this site, sample the music, meet the characters, and become a part of this brand new musical and dramatic experience. Now, 200 years after Lincoln's birth, I look forward to seeing you for a night at the theatre!
